LAUDE El Altillo School, bronze in National Chess Competition

The second U-12 Spanish School Championship was held in Buitrago del Lozoya from May, 1st to 3rd. The tournament consisted of seven rounds and has involved a total of 26 schools in Spain.

CEIP  Pyrenees of Huesca won the championship tournament. The runner-up was the CEIP Marcos Frechin of Zaragoza and LAUDE EL ALTILLO SCHOOL from  Jerez de la Frontera has achieved bronze in this national competition.

We congratulate the team made up of Pedro Fernández, Berta Fernandez, Arturo Hinojosa and Paola Alonso, all 6th grade students, who have struggled fiercely in a very equal finish.

The team was accompanied by Great International Master and school teacher Daniel Escobar as well as by Gabriel Fernandez, father from School to whom we would like to thank for their support and assistance given to our young players.

Congratulations on this new success. We are confident it will be followed by many others.
