Cambridge English exams are globally recognized qualifications which are accepted by over 20,000 universities, employers and governments around the world. They allow English students entry to higher education, improve employment opportunities, and thanks to their global recognition, provide learners with the opportunity to study and work abroad.
Cambridge English exams are accredited by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This is an international standard for describing language ability. It consists of a series of descriptions of abilities which can be applied to any language in order to assess the level of linguistic competence and is therefore used around the world to describe learners’ language skills. These descriptors can be used to set clear targets for students in language learning, to help define language proficiency levels and to interpret language qualifications. It has become accepted as a way of benchmarking language ability, not only within Europe but worldwide.
The CEFR helps examination boards to define language proficiency levels and interpret language qualifications. The framework describes language ability on a scale of levels from A1 for beginners up to C2 for those who have mastered a language or reached a high level of linguistic proficiency. The CEFR has six levels which make it easy for anyone involved in language teaching and testing to assess the level of different qualifications. It also means that employers and educational institutions can easily compare qualifications.
Everyone at LAUDE The Altillo School believes that the Cambridge exams are an essential aspect of our students’ education. We have always achieved excellent results at the school and we wish to continue helping students achieve success in their language learning, knowing that this will allow them to pursue their academic and professional goals. Teachers use a wide range of learning resources and official exam preparation materials in order to train students with the language skills which they will need to prepare for any Cambridge exam.
We would implore you to support your children in this endeavour as much as possible so that they are able to achieve success in this realm. Our students are preparing for KET (A2) PET (B1) FCE (B2) and CAE (C1) exams. We are extremely proud of all of our students and the success they have achieved in English. Many students reach an advanced level in English before leaving school and have this level validated by a certificate which will be an extremely valuable qualification to have on their Curriculum Vitae.
