17th November 16
Today, Thursday 17th November, 1st year Baccalaureate biology students have visited the Marine Investigation Laboratory (LABIMAR) located in the San Sebastian Castle in Cádiz. There they have participated in a workshop about marine biodiversity.
They have observed and classified different species of algae and marine phanerogams. They have also learned characteristics of the most typical invertebrates of the Cádiz coast, which they have been able to touch and look at with magnifying glasses.
It has been a very enriching experience because when we know what we have around us, in this case our coastal area, we can learn to value and protect it.
