IV Harvest Festival in Early Years

22nd November 17

In anglo-saxon countries there is a tradition which celebrates and gives thanks for the harvest in Autumn. In order to celebrate this in Early Years we organized different workshops: we handled nuts and dried fruit, leaves, seasonal fruit, we made fresh orange juice and drank it, we sang songs about the leaves falling, we made a seasonal fruit salad, we coloured a pumpkin, we made a scarecrow….

The aim is to learn about customs, vocabulary and typical games of these countries through play.
