30th April 18
As part of our School´s Values and Volunteership Programme a group of 20 students from Secondary and Baccalaureate visited Jerez General Hospital, specifically the Dialysis Unit and Outpatients. Students gave a poetry recital from the Generation of 1927 and also played various pieces of music. They showed great talent playing the violin, cello, Spanish guitar, piano and ukulele. One of the girls also sang several songs in English accompanied by the piano. This Friday visit wasn´t the first. Students have already been twice to children´s Outpatients, three times to Dialysis and twice to adults Outpatients. It has been a very rewarding experience, as beneficial for patients as for the pupils. All the time spent rehearsing came to fruition. Time spent waiting went very quickly for patients, which is something positive, and the students have learned a lesson about life that they will never forget.
Congratulations for this magnificent initiative and thanks to the General Hospital for opening its doors to us.
